EFYC'S 100 CLUB

The Youth Sailing Foundation at EFYC, or ‘100 Club’ as it is better known, was formed 28 years ago on the 12th August 1993 by a small group of yacht club members to raise funds, with the objective of promoting the sport of dinghy sailing by providing grants to EFYC sailors under the age of 21. Since it’s foundation almost $200,000 has been raised.

Grants that the 100 Club have made over the years have enabled the Yacht Club to purchase six Puffin Pacers used for Interclub teams racing, as well as ten Open Bics and a Tackers fleet of dinghy’s that are used for Junior Sailing School and Saturday afternoon racing.

Individual grants have also been made to help sailors perform at their best. They have included grants for sails, safety equipment, travel assistance, training and various other items.

To be eligible for funding sailors must be under the age of 21, be a current member of EFYC and sail a class of boat sailed at EFYC.
