Get into Small Boat Sailing Basic 1 & 2

Basic Skills I: a safe enjoyable introduction to sailing for novices.
Basic Skills II: extends knowledge from BS1 to allow competent sailing in light winds.

This is a Yachting WA accredited course for girls and boys aged 8 to 15 years which runs over 5 days from 8:30am – 12:30pm during the sailing season and throughout the year on school holidays.

Students are taught in our club fibreglass Bics and Reachers especially designed for training.  The Reachers are 3 metres in length and accommodate 2 - 3 sailors.  All students must supply and wear a buoyancy vest while sailing.

At the completion of the Basic Sailing Skills course 1 & 2, the sailors will be ready to participate in the Better Sailing course.

Next Course: The next course will be conducted at East Fremantle Yacht Club and will be run over the following training dates:

30th Oct, 6th, 13th & 27th Nov, 4th, 11th & 18th Dec.

Note there will be no training on 20th November 2010. 

Cost:    Course Fee for Non-Members: $260.00 includes junior membership

            Course Fee for Junior Members: $170.00 for existing junior members
