VHF Radio Course

The course covers frequency spectrum and range of marine VHF, the principles of VHF marine equipment operation, parts of a radio, marine repeaters, stations for communication, operating procedures including watch keeping, silence periods, test transmissions, phonetic alphabet, distress calls, safety message calling, Digital selective calling (DSC) and equipment, EPIRBS, batteries, and radio logbooks.

This course prepares you for the Australian Maritime College VHF Marine Radio examination.  Successful completion of the optional exam will give you a VHF Radio License.
