East Fremantle Yacht Club’s reputation as the best club on the river with an exciting range of sporting and social activities, will meet the needs of you and your family both on the water and in the Club House, whether your interest is in sailing, hospitality, social or a combination of all.

The Club prides itself in maintaining an extensive range of quality activities and services at an affordable price.

  • The opportunity to participate in club sailing or power boat events and in our pleasant Wednesday evening twilights
  • Access to our marina facilities including pens, moorings, launching ramp, slipway and 24 hour marine fuel is available to Senior members
  • Use of the Club’s gymnasium and sauna for an additional small fee
  • Pride of belonging to a successful and progressive club

Membership Categories

  • Senior Member – Persons over the age of 18 years with discounts up to the age of 21 years who require access to the club marina facilities, skipper or own a vessel, nominate for Executive Committee, nominate new members or to attend Annual and General Meetings
  • Associate/Social Member – Persons over the age of 18 years who wish to use our food and beverage and social facilities. This category also meets the requirements of crew membership and is suitable for the spouse or partners of Senior Members
  • Country Member – available to members who live over 80 kilometres from the club. All the benefits of Senior Membership are available excluding access to the club marina facilities
  • Reciprocal Member – available to voting members of other yacht club or sporting clubs as approved by Executive Committee.
  • Junior Member – Persons under the age of 18 years with a discount up to the age of 15 years.
  • Family Membership – Provides a discount to a family joining as a group. Under this package the family receives a Senior Membership, an Associate/Social Membership and Junior Membership for all children less than 18 years of age.

Membership Fees

Nomination or Entrance Fee (Inc GST)
A once off nomination or entrance fee is payable in full when a Membership Application Form is submitted.

Annual Membership Subscription Fee (Inc GST)
Annual subscriptions are due and payable on 30th June each year. Members will receive an invoice for the subscription in early June. The annual subscription covers the period 1st July to the following 30th June and people joining the club after October will pay a discounted subscription for the year they join (i.e. October to December 25% discount, January to March 50% discount and April to June 75% discount).

House Support Scheme (HSS)
Like many clubs, a $50 levy is charged to all Senior and Associate/Social Members each three months to support the club’s house facilities. HSS is limited to one charge per family.

Members can recoup the HSS amount by using their membership card to purchase food and beverage through the club hospitality area, purchase club clothing or sundry items through the club office or ice from the club’s 24 hour facility. Club function and presentation entry fees can also be recouped from HSS.

New Applications
Membership Application Forms must be completed, signed and proposed and seconded by two (2) financial Life, Senior or Country members of East Fremantle Yacht Club. If you are unfamiliar with club members, please contact our administration office to arrange an introduction.

The nomination and subscription fees are payable in full on submission of the application form and can be paid by cash, cheque or Visa, MasterCard or Bankcard plastic card.

Payment can be made in person at the club administration office from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday or the application and payment can be posted to PO Box 26, Palmyra WA 6957.

Once your application has been submitted, you can use the club facilities as a provisional member; however, you will be invited and will need to attend a New Members Evening before your application is recommended to our monthly Executive Committee meeting for approval.
