At East Fremantle Yacht Club we house a large range of cruiser and keelboat yachts ranging from a 40-foot Farr to 18-foot Red Witches. Some other types of vessels include Whiting & Cole 32s, a strong fleet of M27s, Space Sailor 20, 22, 24 and 27 yachts and Farr 30 and 727s, to name a few.

Sunday afternoon is the club’s major race regatta day, using all of the Swan River and, in particular, the challenging Blackwall Reach.

On the social side we have weekly Twilight Social sailing during the summer season, and these are followed by our famous weber barbecue meals in the clubhouse. Twilight Social races are held on Wednesday nights from October through to April.

We continue our racing calendar throughout the year, including a very competitive winter racing program. The winter sailing season runs through the months of May to September and is well attended, and we also host a range of fun activities after the race, including our very popular free wine tasting and jazz session.

Our keelboat section also runs a Friday night series, handicap series on selected Sundays, two annual Sunday marathons which cover the Swan to the Narrows Bridge, as well as two well-supported annual races to Rottnest Island and Rockingham. The club is also re-introducing two inshore races which will be sailed on the waters off Fremantle Sailing Club this summer.

East Fremantle Yacht Club also offers a range of sail training courses for all levels of competence and knowledge. These courses are run from the club just before and after Christmas.
